As I’ve been mentioning on Twitter and Facebook for the last month, I’ve been working with a narrator to get my first book ever into audio.
I had a chance to listen to the finished product this week, and I’m so pleased with the result! All we’re awaiting now is Amazon approval to get it posted on Audible. The narrator in question, Gabriel Amari, has been kind enough to put together a couple of snippets and host them on Soundcloud, so here’s Alex and Liam on the phone.
For any who are interested, paperback copies of the Wilde Love series are now available for $7.99US. They will remain there for at least the month of January, and if they do well there, I might leave them low–and release future paperbacks at that price as well.
Createspace makes high quality books in my experience, but they don’t come cheap, and I’m not ever going to be able to match those fabulous mass-market prices you can get on paperbacks in stores. Still, LGBTQIA+ paperbacks are usually prohibitively expensive–who can afford to buy a series when each book is $18? As a reader, I would like to see some more affordable paperbacks out there, so I figured that since I can control my prices, I ought to try being the change.
If you’re on the mailing list, you got your free copy of Killer and the Queens last week when A Very Wilde Christmas was released. If not, though, you can still join the mailing list and get the short story about Killer’s second Christmas dinner.
Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve posted about this, so I just wanted to update you.
First, the Wilde Love Christmas stories will be out soon. They’re essentially an epilogue to the series, a short happily ever after for each couple in the series. (I’ve got a little extra surprise for mailing list subscribers, too!)
Second, yes, the main series story arc is done. There are two more books I’m still considering writing in the Wilde Love world, but they will be completely stand-alone. So if you’ve been waiting for the end to read, feel free now!
Next up is The Rowan Harbor Cycle! In a world that looks just like ours, but where the supernatural lurks just beneath the surface, the series starts with Devon coming home to Rowan Harbor after spending his life running away from himself.
With werewolves, magic, hints of Celtic myth, and a an epic quest that will save not only their town, but possibly the world, The Rowan Harbor Cycle is going to be lots of fun! I hope you’ll join me for it!

I’m sure it surprises precisely no one that Natasha Snow made this, and it’s utterly stunning. While I know a book cover isn’t required to be an exact representation of any character therein, this? Is perfection. I don’t think there could have been a better picture to show him off.
Now I have to go put him everywhere.
Yeah, you read that excerpt right. Next book in the Wilde Love series is going to be Owen and Mickey’s story, Saint and the Sinner. It’s with my editor right now, and scheduled for release on November 27th.
Also coming before the end of the year will be A Very Wilde Christmas. Lots of Christmas fluff about your favorite Wilde Love characters.
While I have more books planned for Wilde Love, it’s unlikely that book five is going to follow as quickly as the first few have come. There are various reasons for this, but the one I’ve decided to share is this: what’s coming next.
I read and love all kinds of romance, but I have a particularly soft spot in my heart for paranormal romance. Since before I decided to start with Wilde Love, I’ve had this idea for a series. It’s a little long, counting in at a planned nine books, so I decided to start with something a shorter, or at least more open-ended.
I’ll be posting a little about it here and there for the next few months. I’m shooting for a January release on book one, so it’s coming up fast!
As many of you know Natasha Snow is the designer of the covers for the Wilde Love series. She just completed the cover for the third book in the series, Strike Up the Band, and I wanted to share it. The mailing list got a sneak peek last night, but as her covers tend to be, this is too lovely not to share with everyone.

During the week of the release, the ebook of Straight from the Heart will be on sale for 99 cents, so that will be a good time to pick up a copy if you don’t already have one!
Now that Sins of the Father is live, I’m refocused on what’s next: Strike up the Band, to be released in September.
This is Jake’s story, and it’s kind of close to my heart. First, because Jake is literally the first character who came into being in this universe. Second, because Jake, like me and at the suggestion of the excellent Ami, is asexual.
I spent a lot of time trying to decide what asexual looked like for Jake, since it’s different for all of us, and tried to make the book informative on the subject without reading like a wikipedia entry on the subject of asexuality. It’s a finer line than I would have thought.
I’m still trying to decide whether to include this in the blurb other than as a warning that unlike the previous books in the series, this one will have no sex scenes.
For the curious, here’s the blurb:
Jake McKenna doesn’t want to be here. He doesn’t want to be on tour, he doesn’t want to be playing guitar, and he definitely doesn’t want anything to do with Brian Mulholland. He’s biding his time until the tour is over so that he can walk away from his music career for good.
