It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me, and I’m procrastinating, so I thought I’d come show you what I’m working on.

The lovely and talented Madeline Farlow is doing the covers for The Rowan Harbor Cycle, and here’s her piece for Stag and the Ash, which is slated to be released on Thursday, June 28th:

Mr. Burns tells me that this one is his second favorite after the cover for Blackbird in the Reeds, which I think will always be my favorite, too. What do you think?

Anyway, here’s the (working) burb:

Jesse Hunter is finally trying to be an adult, but still feels like an act. His place on the town council is a sham. He’s rarely called on to do anything. His boyfriend is grieving the loss of his mother, and while everyone seems to think he’s doing a great job caring for Sean, Jesse feels like he’s more of a distraction than a real help.

March is shaping up to be a bad month. First, random chance leads him to the realization that the town’s recent trouble is his fault. Then new werewolves come into town, and it turns out they’re also Jesse’s responsibility. He feels like he may be at his breaking point, and he doesn’t want to drag his friends and loved ones down with him. But how will he handle it alone?

As of Tuesday, Blackbird in the Reeds is available on Audible, and I have to say I’m incredibly excited about it. Chris Chambers has done an amazing job bringing the book to life, and I cannot wait to hear what he does with the next book in the series!

Hey guys! Excited to share with you the cover for Wolf and the Holly, which will be coming out on February 8th. It’s been up on goodreads for a couple of days now, but I’m late putting it here because I’m still trying to fight off last month’s cold and seem to be moving in slow motion.

Five years ago, Jesse dropped out of college and came home to Rowan Harbor to find safety with his pack. A broken man, he’s been living as though the world is ending—allergic to responsibility and spending most of his nights at the local bar.

For any who are interested, paperback copies of the Wilde Love series are now available for $7.99US. They will remain there for at least the month of January, and if they do well there, I might leave them low–and release future paperbacks at that price as well.

Createspace makes high quality books in my experience, but they don’t come cheap, and I’m not ever going to be able to match those fabulous mass-market prices you can get on paperbacks in stores. Still, LGBTQIA+ paperbacks are usually prohibitively expensive–who can afford to buy a series when each book is $18? As a reader, I would like to see some more affordable paperbacks out there, so I figured that since I can control my prices, I ought to try being the change.

Brand New Year, Same Old Sam

Hey, guys!

It seems almost compulsory to write a New Year post, either to recap one’s accomplishments from the year passing, or to talk about goals in the coming year. I figured… who am I to buck the trend?

Last year was a big one for me: I finally got my degree, wrote six novels and published four of them, starting what I firmly believe is going to be the last career I’ll ever have. It’s the only one I ever wanted, after all.

I don’t know how anyone else feels, but I have high hopes for 2018. My first book of the year, Blackbird in the Reeds, is coming out on the 4th of January, and the second in its series is already in edits. I hope to release the entire series this year, as well as a few other projects I’ve been working on, and maybe even one that’s still just a series of related ideas.

2017 was bad in the ways I expected, and incredible in ways I didn’t foresee. I’ve made a few friends I think are in it for the long haul, and a few changes in my life that are going to help me keep writing for years to come. I’ve had successes I didn’t expect, and learned from my failures when they happened. All I can hope is that this year will be even better.

I am going to write so many books this year, you guys. So many books. And it’s going to be the most fun yet.

A Wilde Update!

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve posted about this, so I just wanted to update you.

First, the Wilde Love Christmas stories will be out soon. They’re essentially an epilogue to the series, a short happily ever after for each couple in the series. (I’ve got a little extra surprise for mailing list subscribers, too!)

Second, yes, the main series story arc is done. There are two more books I’m still considering writing in the Wilde Love world, but they will be completely stand-alone. So if you’ve been waiting for the end to read, feel free now!

Next up is The Rowan Harbor Cycle! In a world that looks just like ours, but where the supernatural lurks just beneath the surface, the series starts with Devon coming home to Rowan Harbor after spending his life running away from himself.

With werewolves, magic, hints of Celtic myth, and a an epic quest that will save not only their town, but possibly the world, The Rowan Harbor Cycle is going to be lots of fun! I hope you’ll join me for it!

Okay guys, I sent it off to my mailing list earlier this week, and I think I’ve been sitting on it long enough.

I’m sure it surprises precisely no one that Natasha Snow made this, and it’s utterly stunning. While I know a book cover isn’t required to be an exact representation of any character therein, this? Is perfection. I don’t think there could have been a better picture to show him off.

Now I have to go put him everywhere.
